The MX-4 is a 4-channel premium-grade microphone preamplifier designed specifically to meet the demands of digital recording. Whether connected directly to four channels of a Tascam multitrack recorder, as the stereo source for a Tascam DAT recorder or as an add-on to an existing mixing console the MX-4 delivers a level of performance previously found only in the microphone amplifiers of the most expensive of consoles.

Specially selected components and Tascam proprietary circuit design based on the 5532 operational amplifier give superb audio quality

Phase switches on each channel

Selectable MS-matrix between channels 1 and 2

Individual channel phantom power switching

  

High-voltage ( ±20 V) power supply rails provide enough headroom to deliver the dynamic range accepted by modern digital recorders

Direct outputs on each channel (6.3 mm jack, balanced/unbalanced selectable)

XLR (balanced) and 6.3 mm jack (unbalanced) stereo mix outputs

Stereo sub inputs allow cascading with a second MX-4 or external console

Ground lift switch
