TDIF/ADAT Format Converter

IF-TAD

The IF-TAD simply converts between lightpipe and TDIF formats. This enables users of both formats to connect their devices digitally. The IF-TAD can be used to connect an ADAT recorder to a digital mixing console which features TDIF I/O, transfer audio between ADAT and DTRS machines, or any other digital format application you can think of.



Main features

Transfer up to eight channels of digital audio data between digital audio devices

TDIF-1 port allows connection of DTRS compatible machines

Lightpipe input and output allow connection of ADAT optical devices

Data may be transferred in either direction, or in both directions simultaneously


 

Supports standard sampling frequencies of 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz

Word clock output (derived from ADAT signal)

Word length up to 24 bits

Signal LEDs for visual indication of link status
