Over the years, we've worked with many
artists to create systems with great sound and versatility. That's the
genesis of the Pro Series systems described in these
pages. But we were so enthusiastic about the SAV,
the newest of our single-coil systems, that we pulled together a fifth
Pro Series system built around them. That's the Your Name Here
/ YNH20 System, a fresh new sound that's ready to be heard.
The Pro Series YNH20
is ready to install in your Strat*-style guitar. It includes:
- three EMG-SAV
single-coil active pickups
- five-way selector switch
- EMG-SPC
Presence Control
- volume knob and tone control
- deluxe Black Pearl pickguard with matching
black knobs
- battery clip and switching output jack
The SAV
is a very special pickup, merging the best of our reknowned S/SA family
with the Vintage Series. It features exposed individual pole pieces like
our SV Vintage single-coil for that classic
punch and "drop off" when you bend, but the Alnico polepieces are mounted
flush with the pickup cover rather than in the SV's staggered arrangement.
The active circuit in the SAV is based on the SA's warmer pre-amp tone,
for a richer, rounder sound. Combine that with the onboard SPC and you'll
get more warmth and punch in a single package than you ever imagined possible.
The entire system requires only one 9V
battery, so the entire system will drop into any standard Strat body with
no additional routing. As with all EMG systems, a battery switch is built
right into the output jack so your active electronics are only turned
on while you're plugged in.
The YNH20 doesn't have the multi-platinum
pedigree of our our Pro Series products - yet... Whether you're
heading into the studio or the stage, the YNH20 delivers the rich, tasty
sounds that you need today and for the future.
