Dimarzio Twang KingTM Neck
Model DP172
This is the neck half of DiMarzio's first pair of matched Tele replacement
pickups. We build each Twang King by hand with exclusive winding techniques
that give the guitar more attack while keeping that famous single-coil
sound. It delivers the finest vintage sound combined with improved
string balance and solid DiMarzio construction. The Twang King comes
with a cover installed, and its dipped in wax after final assembly
for quiet performance.
Recommended For:
Standard Tele neck position.
Tech Talk:
We didnt model the Twang King neck pickup after a specific original
because, honestly, we never found one we were 100% happy with. We were
aiming for big, clean lows and highs, and we wanted the pickup to be
able to handle a very wide dynamic range, so the sound would clean
up with soft picking and really open up with a harder attack.
