The concept behind the PSR-S500 was to create an affordable keyboard workstation capable of taking a musician's work from initial ideas through to finished composition, providing a huge selection of sounds and powerful sequencer capabilities.

Based on technology from Yamaha's award-winning Tyros range of keyboards, the PSR-S500 boasts over 650 voices, utilising Yamaha's AWM (Advanced Wave Memory) stereo sampling system.

The keyboard features 61 full-sized keys with touch-response. The extensive selection of sounds and features are accessed from the large backlit LCD which displays all key functions simply and offers instant access to controls and parameters.

With a large range of drum patterns and accompaniments and access to a huge music database, the PSR-S500 allows complete performances to be created easily. To add the finishing touch to your performance, ‘studio grade' DSP options offer over 180 signal processing effects.

The S500 can also be connected to a computer via USB, ideal for use with popular sequencer software packages.
